Rules and Guidelines for this forum (Written by forum Admin)

Hello and welcome. If you choose to join our forum please make sure that you look over these guidelines before commenting on any post or opening new topics. These guidelines are here for the comfort and safety of all our members. If you have any issues with another member please bring it to the attention of one of our staff members rather than engaging in an argument with that person on the forum.

Guidelines:
1. Please do not post any personal, identifiable information anywhere in the forum. This includes your home address, phone number, cell phone number, e-mail address, skype, AIM, yahoo or other messenger service. If you wish to share this information with another member you may do so in a private message. Please use common sense and caution when giving out this private information. This forum is not responsible for the actions of members outside of the forum.
2. Do not engage in bad mouthing, bashing, harassing, or inflaming others. Everyone has different views and opinions. People are going to disagree, all I ask is that you don't start arguments. Debating is fine, fighting is not. Be respectful to each other or your account can be removed from the site. The staff also reserve the right to edit or remove any postings that go against our guidelines.
3. This forum was created with the purpose of giving our members a safe place to discuss issues dealing with Depression and other mental illnesses. With that said, if you make an account with the sole purpose of arguing with or insulting people, your account will be removed. I welcome anyone who wishes to join but will not tolerate people who are trolling or argumentative just for the sake of starting trouble.
If you do not know what a troll is, here is a definition : An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.
4. Do not derail topics or spam the threads. Spamming is posting the same content in more than one thread.
5. Do not advertize products or services. Links for websites, pictures, or content related to the topic is allowed.
Do not advertize other forums or websites in order to steal members, this is extremely rude.
Do not attempt to sell anything illegal or otherwise. The purpose of this site is not to make money.
6. This is not a dating site, don't come here expecting to "hook up".
7. Posting of anything that is illegal, derogatory, racist, or prejudiced is not allowed. This includes illegal drug use, condoning child abuse, human trafficking etc...
8. Do not post anything that is sexual in nature. This includes pornography, child porn, animal porn, condoning rape or abuse graphic stories, erotica or personal confessions. We really don't care about your sexual exploits so please keep them to yourselves. This includes pedophilia, Ephebophilia, Coprophilia, Necrophilia, Urophilia, Vorarephilia or Zoophilia.
Discussions related to sexual orientation, sexual dysfunction, and sexual abuse is permitted only in the designated sections of the forum. Please realize that if you enter into these topics the conversations may be hard to read. Please do not complain about them, simply avoid these sections.
9. Screen names and pictures/ avatars should be in good taste. No nudity or offensive screen names or content.
10. Keep swearing to a minimum. Please do not try to bypass our profanity filters.
11. All posts should be made and answered in English as this is an English speaking forum. Any post that is not in English will be removed, thank you.
12. Please do not come here to complain about other forums. We don't have anything to do with those other forums and can't do anything about it anyway.
13. Do not threaten suicide. If you are feeling suicidal call 911 or go to your nearest emergency center. Also, any topics dealing with self harming behavior should be within good taste and not overly graphic. Please keep in mind that these types of issues may be triggers for other members.
14. Do not threaten or post about desires to harm or kill others. This goes along with illegal activity. Murder is frowned upon in most societies and is most certainly frowned upon on this forum.
This includes the desire to engage in violence to another person, hate crimes, rape, cannibalism, sex with clowns, penguins, midgets, animals (barn yard or other), trees, plants, fruits and vegetation, kitchen appliances, house hold cleaners and food products especially cheese.
15. Lastly, Do not ever EVER insult Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris has a sixth sense and KNOWS when he is being talked about and he knows where you live.
